We have received grant funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural areas.

PURCHASE OF CHRISTMAS TREE GANTRY TRACTOR AND CHRISTMAS TREE PROCESSING EQUIPMENT – GRANT FUNDED BY THE EUROPEAN AGRICULTURAL FUND FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT.

The activity supported by the grant is the diversification away from traditional agriculture to the growing and production of Christmas Trees. The machinery and equipment for Christmas tree growing and harvesting is very specialised and a niche market. We diversified into Christmas Trees to ensure the long term prosperity of the Farm and to create employment opportunities on the farm. We hope to grow our business and improve productivity through innovation and helping us to grow the best quality Christmas Trees. This would help reduce the number of trees imported from abroad. We hope to grow local and sell local.
